i recently bought a house in ruddington and on my way home from working at the co-op i saw your museum. i used to have a grandad who worked at a hosery museum and i was very intrigued to find such a life-like museum right there on my door step. just one problem. why are there plastic lemons in a pot?

I visited the museum today and had a marvellous time, the volunteers were very helpful and knowledgeable. I was also shown the Queen Victoria stockings. This place is well worth a visit!

I have FWK's in my family history and wanted a feel of what their work entailed and the life they had. Now I know. Museum staff were very helpful. Thanks for a good afternoon.

I came to your museum last week with a group of 30 students. However I returned with only 29. Could you please have a look around your museum and let me know if you find anybody. It's not the end of the world if you cant see him, I never really liked him anyway :)

I came with my history group to the museum last week. I think it was thouroughly enjoyed by everyone. I loved trying on the aprons and the class all took photos of me with it on, I looked lovely. I made a wooly leg warmer for my dad for fathers day because I'd forgotten to get him anything - you saved the day, he loved it! I liked the squishy journey up to the attic bedroom, it makes me wonder how short people used to be. If you're reading this and you havent been yet, YOU NEED TO GO! Thanksssss :) :) :)

I\'m sat in History now and I\'m doing my coursework about the Luddites. I\'m doing my section about the museum at the mpoment and all I can think about is the spider in the corner of the Parker Cottage. It\'s traumatised me. But apart from that it was a really good day and I loved it to bits. I was expecting it to be a bit rubbish but it was sooooo good. I couldnt believe it when we got there and it was so good. And I love the fact we could make our own legwarmers, I made some purple ones. Purple is my favourite colour. I love it so much, it\'s so purpley. Anyway, thanks again for such an amazing day, I honestly did have the time of my life. Thanks so much (:

Hello RFKM
I came to your museum, with school last week and I absolutely loved it. I especially liked the song on the video we watched at the beginning of our visit. DOWN DOWN DOWN DERRY DOWN DERRY DOWN!!! :)
I have been wearing my leg warmers every day since I made them and they help to keep my ankles warm and cosy.
I think the museum was really interesting and it helped me lots with my coursework. I loved the Parker cottage and thought the piano music playing was very inspiring. Thank you so much for a great day out!
