Education
School visits play an important part in the life of the museum. Visits can be made by prior arrangement throughout the year. Teachers are welcome for preliminary visits as they plan their programmes and a CD giving details of what the museum has to offer is available.
The cost is £2.00 per child and accompanying adults are admitted free of charge. Chapel Hall acts as an assembly point where the children are divided into groups and where bags and coats can be safely left during the visit. If you have any questions please contact the Museum Manager, Paul Baker on 01159 846 914.
The Library holds an extensive collection of publications relating to the knitting industry and can be visited by appointment. The museum assists with research and special interests whenever possible.
We also work closely with Universities and Colleges and work placement opportunities may be available for students to pursue their interests.
